Has your HIPAA Privacy Officer checked to make sure your Notice of Privacy Practices (NPP) is up-to-date? All healthcare facilities are required to have a copy of their NPP visible and/or available to their clients at all times. Novallier recommends using the link below because it has customizable versions with everything the HHS wants to see. It has designated places where you can fill-out specific information pertaining to your office. The bluish colored boxes have instructions on what you need to add, be careful, once you click on the box, the directions disappear. They also provide a link where you can print off the directions and have them available while you complete the NPP. HHS is looking for your practice name and address, the designated Privacy Officer with contact information and an effective date (the date you complete the NPP).
